DMV Digital Signature Verification
DMV Digital Signature Verification service allow businesses to cryptographically verify the authenticity of driver's licenses and state IDs that contain embedded digital signatures.
Modern documents issued by participating DMV authorities include a Verifiable Credential signed with a cryptographic key and encoded in the PDF417 barcode on the back of the document. This service reads the credential, validates the signature against the issuing authority's public key, and checks whether the document has been revoked.
